I’m a Mother.
I’m a mother obsessed with family time. I’m also a mother who craves alone time to sleep, drink tea and dream about my future.
I’m a mother that tries to feed my children homemade, healthy food. I’m also a mother who feeds them fish and chips.
I’m a mother who sits on the ground with my children and plays games. I’m also a mother that turns on the television, for hours at times.
I’m a mother that tries to explain the world to my children in a way they would understand. I’m also a mother that bribes them with ice cream and piggyback rides.
I’m a mother who loves a tidy house with children’s beds made and washing away. I’m also a mother who doesn’t always get it all done and goes to bed when the house is a mess.
I’m a mother who speaks to my children in a gentle and loving way. I’m also a mother who raises my voice sometimes and feels terrible.
I’m a mother and because of my children I have a full heart, a full head and a content soul. I’m also a mother that cries and doubts myself at times.
I’m a mother, I know this because every atom in my body is connected to them, and at the end of the day I’m the only one who can give my children a happy mother who loves life.
